Frigg was always a stable supplier of natural gas to the UK.

The gas was 95 per cent methane, with a few other hydrocarbon components and a little liquid condensate (light oil). It was clean and needed very little treatment before delivery to the consumer. Production proceeded largely without accidents, and the working environment was considered good.
