Project team
With effect from 1 January 1976, a separate project team was created for each of the platforms.
This devolution created the needed for a “Frigg direction”, a coordinating body at the top of the whole development organisation. The restructuring meant that the Stavanger office became much more important, with installation and hook-up work led from there rather than Paris.
Construction activity peaked in 1976, with a comprehensive programme of installation and hook-up scheduled when the “weather window” opened that spring. Public affairs manager Finn Arnesen could tell the press in June that work had gone “entirely as planned”.
