2. januar 1991 skiftet TOTAL Marine Norsk AS navn til TOTAL Norge AS (TN) for å gi en klar og mer veldefinert profil utad.

Total overtok Unocoal Norge A/S og selskapet fikk gjennom det eierandeler i Veslefrikk (18 prosent) og Huldra (25 prosent). I 1992 gikk Elf Aquitaine Norge A/S over til å bli Elf Petroleum Norge AS. 18. februar 1993 skiftet Fina Exploration Norway u.a.s. (utenlandsk aksjeselskap) navn til Fina Exploration Norway Incorporated (FENI).

TP1 var en prosessplattform som behandlet og tørket gassen som kom fra bore- og brønnhodeplattformen CDP1 før den ble sendt i rørledningen Frigg UK Transport (FUKA) til Skottland.

Friggtraktaten ratifiseres

Etter en rask behandling godkjente det norske Storting enstemmig "Agreement between the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Government of the Kingdom of Norway relating to the Exploitation of the Frigg field Reservoir and the Transmission of gas therefrom to the United Kingdom" som er det offisielle navnet på Frigg traktaten!
